Loving Your Plumber

Did you know that when you buy a new home, your best friends actually become the people who make your life easier? When you have a problem and need a repair, you want people you can rely on, who don’t charge you an arm and a leg, and who do a good job.

Over the years, I have developed a large number of trusted trades people, not through an agency but through actual experience.

For me, one of those people is my plumber. I have used the same plumber for years. Billy Marinelli of Marinelli Plumbing!

A plumber must be licensed in the town in which he/she performs work. Billy is licensed throughout most of Westchester. If one of the properties I am managing needs help, or my mother does, he is there.

He comes when I have a problem and never tells me that “I need to calm down.”

Believe me when I say, create a directory in paper and keep in a specific place, maybe a draw in the kitchen. Do NOT just keep it on your computer because when the electricity goes out, and it may, you need to be able to access your electrician’s number.

Remember when you move to a new home in a new neighborhood, everything is going swell until one day it’s not. You will have that list on hand to get yourself back on track.

p.s. I am not making recommendations here – only sharing personal experiences. 🙂
